Due to the use of addition curing system, addition mold silicone rubber vulcanization does not produce low molecular weight compounds, and thus it has a very low linear shrinkage, the compound can be deep curing, and physical properties, mechanical properties and heat aging resistance are excellent, has become vigorously developing varieties in silicone rubber mold Manufacturing. Addition mold silicone rubber is suitable for manufacturing precision molds and casting molds, and mold manufacturing process is simple, does not damage the prototype, its simulation is good.

Traditional manufacturing methods and steps of silicone rubber mold:
  • According to the requirements of users to design curing master mold, the prototype of the drawings.
  • According to the drawings requirement to produce the prototype.
  • Make the mold frame, and fix the prototype.
  • Go casting after the liquid silicone rubber two components measured by a certain percentage, mixing, defoaming. Pouring finished, it needs defoaming.
  • Vulcanize 24h (25℃) or more time (less than 25℃) at room temperature for Condensation-type silicone rubber. Vulcanize 24h (25℃) or more time (less than 25℃) at room temperature for addition-type silicone rubbers, it can also be cured about 2h in 60℃ oven.
  • After the above-mentioned vulcanization, we remove the mold frame, split the model with a knife.
  • And then place silicone mold in the thermostat, make the mold surface in contact with the prototype face up. Depending on the thickness of the mold, "ripening" in the 50~60℃ ventilation environment, that is secondary vulcanization 2~5h.
